Stevens Technical Services, Inc., established in October 2010, is an expert professional civil engineering consulting firm, specializing in a wide range of traffic engineering services.
Why did we start Stevens Technical Services, Inc.?
We are driven by a clear purpose and a proactive goal: to foster a nurturing environment that enables passionate traffic engineering professionals to thrive, expand their knowledge, and be acknowledged for their exceptional performance.
Company History:
Stevens was founded by Roma G. Stevens, P.E., in October 2010 while a researcher at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. In the autumn of 2016, Roma made the decision to depart from her research position at TTI to fully dedicate herself to the growth of Stevens Technical. This transition allowed her to leverage her unique experience with innovation and technology in a full-time capacity.
In 2018, Stevens was awarded its first prime traffic engineering contract with the Houston District of TxDOT. As of 2023, Stevens has been awarded over $10 million in prime contracts with TxDOT and Harris County.
Additionally, Stevens is proud to have been a team member on many innovative planning projects including the TxDOT Cooperative Automated Transportation (CAT) Plan, Statewide ITS Architecture, and Statewide TSMO Plan.
Leadership:
Stevens is led by two enthusiastic traffic engineering experts, Roma G. Stevens, P.E. and Charles Stevens, P.E., PTOE, who have been best friends since attending graduate school at Texas A&M University. Both have unique skill sets that complement each other from design to microsimulation.
